Sarah grew up in Saranac Lake, NY where she worked part time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from SUNY Albany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the producer of The Roundtable.

I don’t rely on any one single source, as every site or news show seems to have their own “slant” these days. Remarkably I find the comedy shows “Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “Colbert Report” to be the most objective, fair, and balanced. Refuse to watch Fox. Also read web site content from all over, watch MSNBC (Maddow, Hardball, etc) and enjoy Anderson Cooper 360 as well.
Your question today about suggestions of things to do when there is no snow leads to the obvious question, “Why is there no snow?” I assume that everyone who listens to WAMC acknowledges the disruption caused by climate change. Just think about how much damage was done by the summer and autumn storms. I would love to hear what listeners would want New Yorkers to do about rising C02. I say switch to alternative energy as fast as possible and skip hydrofracking.
I tend to agree, except that I do not always Anderson Cooper to be an insightful or reliable source, as far as politics is concerned. I am a hopeless Rachel Maddow / Keith Olbermann fan!
